I took a critical look at the accessibility of the administration building on campus. This building is centered on flat ground so chair users or ones with walking limps should not have an issue getting to the building itself. From what I noticed the building is symmetrical running horizontally, therefore there are 4 entrances to the building but the ones on opposing sides are the same. Two of the entrances are meant for chair users, since it is at ground level. It is demarcated by a wheel chair- the older symbol, as shown in the video. The symbol has a chair user sitting statically in an encompassing chair, rather than the newer symbol which shows movement of the chair. However the other 2 entrances, the main ones since they are placed on the longer side of the building facing the main road and quad are made of stairs. The stairs have no ramp. This could be taken as a symbol for the people they want to have access to the building. A statement to chair users that only some are good enough to use the main entrance. It os interesting since it is the administration building, representing power over the campus.
